Almost everything in this category is organised around a death: a notice, a date, a donation link, and a blank page a grieving family is left to fill in. Most never do — an empty tribute page is the category’s real failure to help people.
We start at the other end. Therapeutic, guided questions help get the real story out of people who would never call themselves writers, and what comes back is a person: funny, particular, specific. An Encore celebrates the best of a life, which is why families cherish theirs and our partners find it easy to offer.

Your story, in your own words, while you are here to tell it: the moments, the advice, the sayings, the photographs with the context only you can give them. You can also add saved personal Encore emails. Everything held privately and released to the people you choose, only when you die.

ForTheirEncore
A family, often enabled by their Funeral Director starting the process, builds an Encore for someone they have lost. Guided questions lead to a beautiful written life story, with places, milestones and photos — the best of memories. These can all be linked by a physical, personalised QR memorial plaque. Offered through Funeral Directors, charities or celebrants.

Charity giving
We take no fees from charity donations.
Encores run on a five-year subscription, paid up front. Because the platform is already paid for, we have no need to take from charity donations raised in someone’s memory, and we never touch the Gift Aid relief, which HMRC intends for the charity.

Your supporters and families deserve a choice.
If you already offer a free in-memory tribute, keep it. Encore is not a replacement and we are not asking you to move away from free platforms. We sit alongside as the premium option, for the families and supporters who want more. They want to celebrate their loved one.
Every funeral director partner earns a share of every Encore taken up through them. We do not arrive as a line on your budget. We are an immediate new source of revenue, billed as an item in the funeral or in sundries. For charities, we never take a fee from a donation or from the Gift Aid relief, so choosing Encore costs your supporters nothing. More importantly, we are a great way to help your families remember the good times in the most difficult of circumstances. Families will thank you.

Encore is offered by partners as part of what they already do. Trials and introductory offers run on our voucher-code system, so a partner can test it with real families before committing to anything. Everything is tracked in our comprehensive back-end console.

Offered alongside the arrangement: something the family can continue to engage with after the funeral, when everyone else has gone home. A real help in the grieving process. Something new and modern for you to offer.
Will writers & life insurance
